The Elm Fork Education Center (EFEC) at the University of North Texas offers a Homeschool Science Lab program focused on hands-on life science and biology experiences for homeschool students.

It provides two levels: an Elementary Lab for ages 8–12 covering topics such as biomes, life cycles, cells, and nutrition, and a Secondary Lab for ages 12–16 covering cell chemistry, genetics, ecology, and evolution. Classes meet weekly (fall and spring semesters) and combine pre-lab home activities, in-person lab work, and field sessions in a small-group setting (max 15 students).
