1. General Site Use & Eligibility

1.1 U.S.-Only Site

The Site is intended for users located in the United States only. We do not intentionally offer the Site, directories, account features, newsletters, forms, listings, event calendar, educator registry, advertising opportunities, or other services to users outside the United States. If you are located outside the United States, you should not use the Site, create an account, submit information, or interact with listings or events. By using the Site, you represent that you are located in the United States.

1.2 Purpose of the Site

North Texas Homeschool provides an informational directory and resource website for homeschooling families and related educational communities. The Site includes program listings, homeschool resources, user accounts, saved/favorited listings, an event calendar, an educator registry, featured/promoted listings, display advertising, and email communications. The Site is provided for informational and convenience purposes only.

1.3 No Advice

The Site provides general informational resources only. Nothing on the Site constitutes legal, educational, professional, safety, financial, tax, medical, therapeutic, or parenting advice. You are responsible for making your own decisions regarding homeschooling, curriculum, tutoring, childcare, and safety, and should consult appropriate professionals where needed.

1.4 Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for use by adults, including parents, guardians, educators, and event organizers. The Site is not intended for children under 13. You may not create an account or submit personal information if you are under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will delete that information.

2. Directory Disclaimers & User Responsibility

2.1 No Endorsement or Verification

Listings on the Site are provided strictly as a directory of available programs, resources, tutors, businesses, and events. We do not endorse, recommend, sponsor, guarantee, verify, screen, approve, or certify any listing, program, tutor, educator, school, business, resource, event, or service listed on the Site.

2.2 User Due Diligence

You are solely responsible for evaluating any listing, educator, tutor, program, resource, event, advertisement, or third-party service before contacting, hiring, enrolling with, registering for, paying, attending, or relying on that listing or service. This includes, without limitation, evaluating:

  • Program quality and curriculum.
  • Educator or tutor qualifications and teaching philosophy.
  • Safety practices, facility safety, and background checks.
  • Insurance, licensing, or legal compliance.
  • Pricing, availability, refund policies, and contractual agreements.

We are not responsible for the conduct, statements, omissions, services, qualifications, policies, or actions of any third party listed on or contacted through the Site.

3. Private Educator Registry & Lead-Generation Terms

3.1 Registry Overview & Independent Status

The Site includes a private educator, tutor, or instructor registry (“Educator Registry”). Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, we do not employ listed educators; listed educators are independent third parties. We do not supervise or control listed educators, we do not guarantee any educator’s availability, qualifications, safety, background, results, or services, and we are not a party to any agreement between a user and an educator. Parents and users are solely responsible for conducting their own due diligence, background checks, and credential verifications before hiring any educator.

3.2 Lead-Generation Terms & Fees

Educators may create a basic profile listing on the Site at no cost. By listing on the Site, Educators agree that parent inquiries may be routed through the platform as potential leads. Accessing or unlocking a parent’s direct contact information (such as email or phone number) requires payment of a non-refundable lead unlock fee (currently $5.00 per lead), payable via the invoice issued upon lead notification.

3.3 Lead Terms, Refund Policy, and Limitation of Warranties

Payment of the lead unlock fee grants sole access to the parent’s unmasked contact details and does not guarantee that a parent will hire, respond to, or enter into an agreement with the Educator. While we endeavor to review inquiries for general completeness, lead fees cover the delivery of verified parent contact information and are non-refundable once unlocked, except in the event of demonstrably invalid contact details (such as a disconnected phone number and bounced email).

Educators operate strictly as independent service providers, setting their own rates, schedules, and instructional methods. North Texas Homeschool Group LLC serves solely as a directory venue and lead conduit; we are not an employer, agency, or party to any service contract formed between an Educator and a family.

4. Events Calendar & Community Activities

4.1 Event Listings Disclaimer

The Site includes an event calendar featuring activities submitted by us or by third parties. Event details may change without notice, including dates, times, locations, pricing, registration requirements, cancellation policies, age ranges, capacity limits, and safety procedures. You are responsible for confirming all event details directly with the event organizer before registering, attending, or paying for an event.

4.2 Attendance, Safety, and Release

Users are solely responsible for deciding whether to attend any event listed on the Site. Parents and guardians are responsible for determining whether an event is appropriate, safe, and suitable for their child or family.

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, North Texas Homeschool Group LLC does not organize, host, supervise, sponsor, endorse, or control third-party events listed on the Site. We are not liable for injuries, losses, disputes, damages, cancellations, schedule changes, property damage, illness, transportation issues, payment disputes, or other claims arising from or related to third-party events listed on the Site.

5. Monetization, Advertising & Affiliate Links

5.1 Paid Placements & Promoted Listings

Certain tutors, educators, listing owners, program providers, event owners, businesses, or advertisers may have a paid business relationship with North Texas Homeschool. This may include lead-generation fees, featured listings, sponsored listings, promoted event listings, paid display ads, or newsletter sponsorships.

Payment for placement does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, verification, or guarantee by North Texas Homeschool Group LLC. Paid or sponsored placement should not be interpreted as a statement that the listing is better, safer, or more qualified than non-paid listings. Where required, paid content may be labeled with terms like “Featured,” “Sponsored,” or “Ad.”

5.2 Third-Party Advertisements & Offers

The Site may display advertisements or promotional materials from third parties. We are not responsible for the products, services, claims, offers, websites, or policies of advertisers. If you click on an advertisement, your interaction is governed by that third party’s terms and privacy policies.

5.3 Affiliate Links

The Site may contain affiliate links. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, North Texas Homeschool may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not constitute an endorsement or verification of the third-party product or service.

6. User Accounts & Content Submissions

6.1 Account Responsibilities

You may be required to create an account to use certain features. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6.2 Favorited or Saved Content

Registered users may save or favorite listings, resources, or events to their account. Favoriting content does not create a relationship between you and the provider, nor does it guarantee the content will remain available on the Site.

6.3 User Content Submissions

If you submit a listing, educator profile, event, biography, image, logo, description, or link (“User Content”), you represent and warrant that:

  • The information is accurate and non-misleading.
  • You have full authority and legal right to publish the content.
  • The content does not infringe on any copyright, trademark, or privacy rights of third parties.
  • You will honor any representations, rates, policies, or commitments published in your submission.

By submitting User Content, you grant North Texas Homeschool Group LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, edit, publish, and promote that content in connection with the Site. We reserve the right to edit, reject, or remove any User Content at any time for any reason.

6.4 Intellectual Property

The Site’s design, organization, text, graphics, and original content created by North Texas Homeschool Group LLC are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may use the Site for personal, non-commercial homeschool research only.

7. Legal Protections, Liability & Dispute Resolution

7.1 Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses.

7.2 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, North Texas Homeschool Group LLC and its owners, operators, affiliates, and representatives will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Site or these Terms will not exceed $100.00 or the amount you paid directly to us for use of the Site in the three months prior to the claim, whichever is greater.

7.3 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless North Texas Homeschool Group LLC, its owners, operators, and representatives from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Site, your User Content, your listing or event submissions, your violation of these Terms, or any dispute between you and a third party contacted through the Site.

7.4 Governing Law & Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any legal dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Denton County, Texas, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

7.5 Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time by posting the revised version with an updated “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Site indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.
